- Patricia - my roommate in recovery whose little girl is also in the NICU. She named her baby Mahalia, after meeting our girl. Baby Lauren, Baby David, Baby Aiden, Baby Jacquelyn and their brave parents and siblings

Kail, I have been thinking about you, Shane, Mahalia and of course, Dezi so much. It is really amazing to look at your blog from the beginning to the present. He has grown and pulled through so much and really has looked so strong through it all. Not only has he inherited your deep caring eyes but also your incredible strength. Dezi is unbelievably lucky to have you for a mom.
Hang onto that realization that he is starting to recogonize you and look foward to that smile that's coming soon.
